I have more than 20 years’ experience as a graphic designer, primarily in children’s publishing (click here for testimonials). My last in-house role was as Design Manager for BBC Children’s Books, but for the past eight years I’ve been freelance - building up a reputation for providing a professional and efficient service with key clients in publishing as well as local business organisations. I have undertaken numerous and varied projects including children’s publishing, corporate magazine design, brochure design and creation of prospectuses. Over years of collaboration, I’ve developed a trusted group of reliable contacts, including, authors, editors, artists, printers and other freelance professionals who I’m happy to recommend.

I’m an all-rounder, but my speciality is working with licensed properties. My book and magazine portfolios include well-known properties from Warner Bros, DreamWorks, Disney, Lucas Film - Star Wars, Marvel & DC Comics. Thanks to my excellent knowledge of publishing and print processes, I’m unfazed by technical requirements for specialised formats, such as novelties, stickers, gatefolds, pop-ups and slipcases.

I pride myself on my ability to maintain creativity, speed and accuracy, while meeting tight deadlines and controlling strict budgets. Through close collaboration my mission is to ensure my clients get what they want, when they want it – carefully crafted designs targeted at the correct age group (from pre-school to adult) and market (including school, library and trade).

I’m based in Billericay, Essex, just half an hour by rail from London Liverpool Street and a short drive from East London. From my home studio I can work flexible hours – more than once that’s enabled me to save a client’s schedule after hours. Teleworking also minimises overheads which means I can offer competitive rates, but please contact me for a quote tailored to your needs.

Because I love design and because you have deadlines to meet.
